Resources

Understanding the burdens associated with high student loan costs, particularly based on research affecting Black households, Dr. Duncan designed and released MBA-level education at an affordable price. The quality of the content is similar to his approach as a faculty member to help assist outcomes associated with financial literacy, economic mobility, and Black entrepreneurship. It is important as a thought leader and influencer to provide content relative to the community focusing on racial-wealth disparity gaps.

Mahogany Thoughts Podcast

Is a podcast dedicated in discussing some of the core themes for the Mahogany Legacy Project (MLP) The MLP is a project created by Dr. Terrence Duncan that identifies five key socioeconomic areas where significant change may occur through a generational model. Discussions are to uplift, enlighten, educate, and encourage others in the Black community.

Mental Health Services

Mental health is a critical component identified through the MLP.  African Americans face unique mental health risks that affect the individual and experience cascading effects on his or her family and the community at large. Social determinants of health that disproportionately affect African Americans include racism, poverty, education, housing, access to healthy foods, environmental exposure, violence, and criminal justice.  Understanding the correlation between social determinants and mental health issues may provide keys to providing solutions. These identified partnerships with leading Black mental health professionals provide quick resources as necessary to promote healing Black pain that is unfortunately too common and often cyclical.
